Dear Webmaster, Thank you for providing the bible quiz: However, you have an error on your quiz (question 9):
9. "Christ" means The word Christ is a Greek word that means anointed in English. Messiah is the Hebrew word that also means anointed. It is, therefore false that "Christ" means in Greek Messiah. The correct answer should be "Christ" means in English anointed, in Hebrew Messiah. Thanks, Dear Reader, Thanks a lot for your useful correction. I corrected the quiz accordingly. However, "Christ" comes from the Greek Khristos (anointed one), in Hebrew Mashiah from which the English "Messiah" comes. So, maybe I should have put it like this: "Christ" means in Greek what the Hebrew word for "Messiah" means in Hebrew. Or maybe to shorten it further: "Christ" means in Greek what "Messiah" means in Hebrew. A step forward and here is my disputed answer "in Greek Messiah". But those options complicate the answer from a linguistic point of view, and my quiz is intended for the basics. So the best option in this case is your correction and not ours.
